Weekend in Idaho

As we all know the last year has been rough on all of us. I have always loved the last few years living alone because I was always able to balance it with friends and family. This past year it wasn’t hard in staying home, in fact, it gave me extra time to get some needed things done, but I did notice and struggle with not having access to family. I missed any physical touch such as hugs, etc… and even missed sitting on the sidelines of games and cheering on the nieces and nephews.


Over Easter Weekend, I took a much-needed break and went up to visit my sister and her family in Northern Idaho. I laughed on the drive home because I tend to sleep better at her house than I do my own. I realized that happens because for a brief few days I am able to remove myself from my life, its stresses, and also the workload and just play with the kiddos and talk. It was a great weekend of Easter Egg Hunts, playing in the backyard, and just enjoying some well-needed time with family.
