Glimpses of 5 of my smaller theme dinners I have thrown for my family.

What About Bob? it was my very first theme dinner. I remember it just being for a fun Friday night with my parents and 2 of my siblings. It happens to be one of my very favorite movies and it is just too darn funny. Below are some memories and a few printables.

Pollyanna was always such a fun movie for my family. My dad would always talk about the food they had at the bazaar in the movie and there are such good heartwarming parts to it. I remember I made 2 3 layer cakes.. we had food for days. I managed to have some family over, even my little niece who at the time fell off her bike and got black eyes.

I mean, who doesn't find this movie hilarious? This movie and the decor were simple but fun, but I must admit reading and cooking all the greek food for the first time had taken me a while. OPA!

I love the movie,"Father of the Bride," but seriously one of the best parts is when they are envisioning the BBQ wedding in the backyard. This dinner focused just on that portion. It was so quickly put together it was very small.

Now with this dinner, I wish I could have gone bigger and gone crazier but the timing was off. I threw this after a week long family reunion and in dealing with 30 plus people found it hard to get it to a great place. We ended up having junk food and watching the movie. I do love throwing some smaller dinners like this, but I truly love the big theme dinners even more and how they are truly an experience.
