My Letter to Santa

Dear Santa,

What a year, what a year... It's come and gone so quickly and I feel I have been as good as I could be this year.

Here is what I would like for Christmas, I don't need very much, I have all I really need which is shelter, warmth, food, electricity and running water.... but the world seems to be in pain right now and I have a few things below I wish we could accomplish:

  1. For everyone to learn to be kind and generous, most of us are trying our best to be our best, we need compassion and love.

  2. For everyone to learn to take and accept responsibility, we all are better for it if we acknowledge we are part of the problem as well. This would help heal so much anger others have inside their hearts.

  3. To embrace the silence and look for the light in the silence, so much chatter, so much, so much that is said never needed to come out. There is extreme power in our silence and truly thinking about what we say.

  4. That everyone would embrace their story, write them down, document their lives, preserve their ancestors... all generations and branches are connected and there are so many stories to be told.

  5. For the world to find the end of this virus, to help heal those who are sick, prevent it from further spreading, and help comfort the hearts of those who have lost others this year.

  6. For everyone to know that this life can end in a moment and we can't take a second for granted, we waste so much time on so little.. We need to live, truly live.

  7. Most of all for people to know how much they are loved and how much they need to love themselves. If we could see our infinite worth, oh how powerful we could be in this world...

Lastly, Santa, if you want to throw in some gummy bears and maybe while you are at it a few nice days for nature walks I would greatly appreciate it...

Thanks big guy, I will continue to try to be your faithful servant, over and out...
